Book Update: Gail Kim, Shane Douglas, & Taryn Terrell

Today was quite a day for interviews for my books about the history of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. I interviewed the greatest and most influential female wrestler of all time, Gail Kim, as well as hardcore wrestling icon Shane Douglas, and former TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell!

My interview with Gail was wonderful. She’s the most respected female wrestler in the business because she fought for women’s wrestling long before anyone else did, and she’s the first-ever Knockouts Champion. Without Gail, women’s wrestling would look much different today. We covered this in great detail, as well as her thoughts on key opponents, what it was like working in WWE compared to TNA, and much more. She was a pleasure to speak with, and it was inspiring to hear what she went through to accomplish her dreams and pave the way for women’s wrestling.

I also interviewed “The Franchise” Shane Douglas today, and he was incredible. Shane is one of the most intelligent and insightful people I’ve interviewed so far. A wealth of knowledge! Hearing his stories about Dusty Rhodes, Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter, The Naturals, and others, was a delight. He had me hanging on every word, and I couldn’t have asked for a better interview from him.

Taryn Terrell is one of Gail Kim’s greatest opponents and an icon in the Knockouts Division. We talked about how she broke into the business, what it was like training in OVW, and transitioning from a referee to a wrestler, among other topics. Getting her thoughts on women’s wrestling at a pivotal time in TNA’s history was a joy, and I’m extremely thankful for her time.
