However, something went horribly wrong, and Rapture became a dystopian nightmare, where genetically modified humans, known as splicers, roam the halls, driven mad by a substance called ADAM. As a survivor of a plane crash, you find yourself in this underwater hell, and you must fight your way through the horrors that lurk in every corner.
BioShock is not your typical shooter. You have access to a variety of weapons, from pistols and shotguns to crossbows and grenade launchers, but you also have the ability to use plasmids, which are genetic enhancements that grant you supernatural powers. You can shoot fireballs, lightning bolts, bees, and more from your fingertips, and you can combine them with your weapons and the environment to create devastating effects.
