This past Sunday the official WWE documentary about the life and career of the Ultimate Warrior aired on A&E, and you can read my review of it here. Last night, Dark Side of the Ring’s documentary “Becoming Warrior” premiered on VICE. Growing up, the Ultimate Warrior was my favorite pro wrestler. He was colorful, intense, and relentless — a comic book character come to life, with face paint and tassels to boot. Thankfully, I decided to attend WrestleMania XXX in 2014, which wound up being the Ultimate Warrior’s final run with WWE. It was an incredible weekend of events, capped off by his prophetic words on Monday Night RAW. Last night I attended my first major indoor event since being fully vaccinated. The event took place at the 2300 Arena (ECW Arena), and it featured Rob Van Dam watching the debut of his new WWE ICONS documentary for the first time, a little bit of stand-up, and photos and autographs with RVD afterward.
