In 1978, KISS’ Gene Simmons made an in-store appearance at tape City in New Orleans to promote his KISS solo album. He was also in town to announce KISS’ appearance (ultimately canceled) at the 1979 Mardi Gras Endymion parade. Below is rare TV footage of this event for you to enjoy.

On November 19, the 45th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition of Destroyer, KISS’ quintessential album, is unleashed upon the world. Sir Rod Stewart’s rekindled love of songwriting grows stronger on his 31st album, The Tears of Hercules. It’s Stewart’s fourth new album of original songs since 2013, when he reconnected with his songwriting muse to record Time, the chart-topping album which entered the Top 10 in the US and 10 countries worldwide, including #1 in the U.K., where it’s been certified platinum double-platinum. As far as I’m concerned, Night Ranger is the most underrated classic rock band on the planet. Not only do they have a rich history comprised of countless classic hits and terrific albums, but they also continue to record and release stellar new music and play live for thousands of adoring fans.
