KISS Releasing Reunion Tour Live Album June 10

On June 10, rock icons KISS will release the next installment of their popular Off The Soundboard official live bootleg series with KISS – Off The Soundboard: Live At Donington 1996, recorded during the Monsters Of Rock Festival at Donington Park in England on August 17, 1996. This is the latest in a series of live releases by the band and will be available to stream and download, with a 3-LP standard black vinyl set, a 2-CD set, and a limited edition 3-LP set pressed on 180g red vinyl available exclusively through the Official KISS online store and can be pre-ordered here. KISS Off The Soundboard: Live In Virginia Beach

Last year, KISS launched what can be best described as a line of official live bootleg albums. KISS Army collectors, like myself, have many of these live concerts in audio (and sometimes video) form. Nevertheless, getting an official release means the potential for improved audio quality or an updated mix. This year’s KISS Off The Soundboard archival live concert release is the band’s Virginia Beach show from July 25, 2004, during KISS’ Rock The Nation tour. It comes out this Friday, March 11. How’s the album sound and is it worth buying? Read on for my thoughts.

On November 19, the 45th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition of Destroyer, KISS’ quintessential album, is unleashed upon the world. UMe is releasing multiple versions: a Super Deluxe 4-CD + Blu-ray Audio box set, a standard double black vinyl, limited edition yellow and red double colored vinyl, a 2-CD set, and digital. My Last KISS

On August 21, I attended what may have been my final KISS concert ever. At this point, I’ve seen the band live more than 20 times, including five dates on its End Of The Road World Tour. If this was my last show, I went out on top because I watched the entire performance from the pit, which is in between the stage and the front row. Being in the pit was not planned ahead of time, but it was a fantastic surprise. Read on for my thoughts on my last KISS.
