Christmas week is upon us! According to WrestlingInc, “Beginning Tuesday, December 22, and concluding on Tuesday, December 29, Impact Wrestling will end their scheduled programming for the year with their Best of 2020 recap episodes. Additionally, they will air their yearly awards show, in which fans had the opportunity to cast their vote on which matches and wrestlers were their favorites for the year.” In other words, no in-ring action until January 5.
Genesis: I Quit Match
This past week’s IMPACT Wrestling had solid matches, as always, but it really served to set up and move forward feuds heading into Genesis and Hard To Kill in January. Airing exclusively on the IMPACT Plus app on January 9, Genesis will feature TNA Champion Moose vs. Willie Mack, among other matches, and I’m very excited for this one because both Moose and Willie Mack are two of the best wrestlers in IMPACT Wrestling.

Hard To Kill: Main Event
The big news of the night to come out of IMPACT Wrestling last week was that the main event for Hard To Kill, taking place on PPV on January 16 is a tag team match pitting AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers against IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Rich Swann and the Motor City Machine Guns. To my knowledge, this is the first time in the history of professional wrestling that a PPV is featuring a main event where two world champions from different promotions are going head-to-head. In a word, it’s insane! I’m very excited to watch Hard To Kill because it’s going to be epic. Yet another example of why IMPACT Wrestling is the most exciting promotion in all of pro wrestling at the moment.
