Journey is one of the most famous American rock bands of all time, with a career spanning 50 years. Formed in San Francisco in 1973, the band has sold over 75 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands ever. With such a rich history of musical success, it’s hard to narrow down the band’s top 10 best songs, but I’ll do my best. Below are Journey’s ten best songs. Do you agree? Let me know.
Last night was my first concert since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. I also had the opportunity to meet both Jonathan Cain and his wife Paula before the show, which was delightful. I interviewed Jon last month about his new music, Journey’s upcoming album, and more. Having the chance to enjoy an epic night of live music and spend time with Jon and Paula beforehand was made possible by the man himself. So, I’d like to express a heartfelt thank you to Jon Cain for his hospitality. Read on for my thoughts about the show, videos, photos, and more.Continue reading
Jonathan Cain is a brilliant musician and a kind person. He is one of the most prolific, influential, and skilled performers ever, and he’s back with new music, both as a solo artist and as a member of Journey. Today, Jon’s new single, “Oh Lord Lead Us,” is available to buy and stream. And, on June 24, Journey released the new single, “The Way We Used To Be,” from its forthcoming new studio album. Jon was kind enough to speak with me at length about his new music, Journey’s new album, hitting the road again, how the Lord inspires him, his wife, Paula White-Cain, Steve Perry, and so much more. I hope you enjoy our discussion, and make sure to buy and stream Jon’s new single because it’s excellent!Continue reading

Jonathan Cain is a brilliant musician and an even-more-wonderful person. What follows is my third interview with him to date, and I find myself liking and respecting the man more each time we speak. During this interview we covered his brand-new album More Like Jesus, which is fantastic, his thoughts on Steve Perry’s comeback album, a new Journey release, and much more. Also included among the images and videos below, is a quote from a discussion I had with Jon backstage in Philadelphia last year, where he gave my writing the highest praise it has ever received. Jon’s music, writing, and friendship have enriched my life in a way that is immeasurable and, if you take a chance, he might have the same impact on you.
On the heels of the release of his latest solo album, Vortex, which is terrific, Neal took the time to grant me an interview. Speaking with him was an absolute honor, and we covered a lot of ground in our discussion. We spoke about everything, including his thoughts on working with Steve Perry, John Waite and Deen Castronovo, as well as how his latest masterpiece, Vortex, came to fruition.
I hope you enjoy the interview. And don’t forget to pick up a copy of Vortex. If you’re a classic rock fan, or just someone who appreciates inspired instrumental music, you’ll love it.
