On June 3, IMPACT Wrestling issued the press release below announcing that it is welcoming back fans at Slammiversary on July 17 in Nashville at Skyway Studios, which has been the home of IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings and live broadcasts since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets, which were priced at $250 a piece (nearly $300, when you factor in taxes and fees), sold out in approximately one hour. Read on for my thoughts on this exciting news.
I think it’s fantastic that fans are being welcomed back at Slammiversary. We’ve been clamoring for this over the past few months, so it’s nice to see that IMPACT is making it happen. Unfortunately, I will not be at the show. While I would have loved to go, I’m holding out for Bound For Glory in October, which is likely to take place in a regular venue that is filled with fans. Bound For Glory will also mark 10 years since my first-ever TNA live event: Bound For Glory 2011. Nevertheless, congratulations to the fans going to Nashville for Slammiversary! I will be watching live from home, soaking up the energy and enjoying what promises to be a surprising and spectacular show.
WELCOME BACK, FANS!

“We have waited over a year to say these three words: Welcome Back, Fans,” said IMPACT Executive Vice-President Scott D’Amore. “We know Slammiversary will be an amazing event, with title defenses, jaw-dropping excitement, breath-taking moves … AND NOW, FANS.
“I speak for everyone at IMPACT Wrestling when I say that we are thrilled to welcome back our fans. IMPACT is going to deliver an amazing night of action in front of the thunderous roar of fans for the first time since early-March 2020 at the two-night A-Town Beatdown in Atlanta.”
IMPACT Wrestling will continue to follow all state and local safety protocols, with the limited number of fans admitted into the venue.
