Microsoft Leak: Exciting Xbox Projects Including Oblivion And Fallout 3 Remasters

Prior to its acquisition by Microsoft, ZeniMax Media, the parent company of renowned studios like Bethesda Game Studios and id Software, had ongoing Xbox projects in the works. These projects included remastered versions of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3, along with a new installment in the Doom franchise. These revelations stem from recently disclosed documents as part of the FTC v. Microsoft case. These games were notably featured in a Microsoft presentation from July 2020, which was focused on the prospective acquisition of ZeniMax at that time.

Review – The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms

The Elder Scrolls is one of my favorite video game series of all time. I enjoy all entries in this franchise, including the spinoffs and The Elder Scrolls Online. While many of The Elder Scrolls games have been successful, Skyrim is the one that practically everyone knows. The fifth entry in the series, it has sold over 30 million copies across various systems since its release in 2011. This summer I completed the main quest in this game, along with numerous side quests, on the Nintendo Switch. I also sunk more than 150 hours into The Elder Scrolls Online on my PC – which is an excellent game that I highly recommend. When I read that Skyrim’s open world was coming to a tabletop game created by Modiphius, entitled The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms, I was intrigued.

Preview – The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms

Skyrim, the fifth entry in the wildly popular Elder Scrolls video game series, has sold over 30 million copies across various systems since its release in 2011. I’m currently enjoying this timeless classic on my Nintendo Switch, as well as The Elder Scrolls Online on my PC – which is my new favorite game. With this in mind, I was intrigued when I read that Skyrim’s open world is coming to a tabletop game created by Modiphius entitled The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms. This game is slated to start shipping in May. However, with the current coronavirus crisis the world is experiencing, that could change. What follows is a preview of the game; and I hope to get a copy, so that I can provide you with a detailed review once it’s released. I’ve never owned or played a tabletop wargame like this before. However, this seems like a great entry point for me and others.
