What language do you wish you could speak? Read on for my thoughts on this question, and let me know yours.

Speaking another language is a great skill to have. I’ve taken Spanish and Italian classes over the years, and I got to go to Italy with my Italian class, which was a great experience. However, I’ve never come close to mastering either language.

If I had to pick one language to speak (aside from English), I’d say Japanese. Why? The culture is fascinating, and I think it would be great to fit right in from a linguistic perspective. That would make for an even more enjoyable visit — and I’ve never been to Japan. But I’ve always wanted to go.
