Kenneth Branagh’s 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express is a lavish, star-studded return to one of the most famous whodunits ever written. With its snowy landscapes, opulent train cars, and an ensemble cast that reads like a Hollywood roll call, the film promised a modern revival of Agatha Christie’s classic mystery.
