Celebrating 50 fabulous years in the music industry, Melissa Manchester is back with a new single from her forthcoming 24th studio album. The single is a newly reimagined take on her classic hit: “Just You and I.” As evidenced by this new take on one of my favorite songs, “Just You and I” is as relevant and potent today as it was when first released 44 years ago. Melissa’s new album, entitled RE:VIEW, will feature eight additional tracks — some of which are new takes on old favorites, while others are previously unreleased.
Stephen Bishop is a wonderful singer-songwriter who is still going strong. He has decades of albums and hits under his belt, and a ton of exciting projects on the horizon. Stephen’s newest album, We’ll Talk About It Later In The Car, is available now and it’s excellent. It features that signature songwriting and voice fans have come to know and love, and I highly recommend that everyone picks up a copy. Melissa Manchester, Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter known for countless hits, is performing a concert on April 27 at New Hope Winery to benefit Lulu’s Rescue, an all-breed, inclusive dog rescue with 501c3 non-profit status with a mission to end the daily killing of thousands of adoptable dogs in the U.S. and to break the cycle of homelessness through spay/neuter outreach, humane education, and rescue efforts. All tickets include a meet and greet with Melissa after the show, so you should absolutely go as she’s a phenomenal performer and an immensely kind individual you have to meet. Melissa Manchester is not only one of my favorite musicians, she’s one of my favorite friends. Her talent, energy, kindness, and passion are undeniable and all were on full display tonight during her opening performance at Feinstein’s/54 Below. Melissa has additional performances on Saturday (7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.) and Sunday (7:00 p.m.), and I absolutely recommend you attend one or more of these fabulous concerts.
