The Arden Theatre is kicking off its 30th anniversary season in a big way – with a scintillating production of Cabaret! The show runs through October 22 and is one that shouldn’t be missed. It’s the 180th production by The Arden Theatre, and this version of the show uses the Roundabout Theatre Company’s 1998 revival script.

One of the many reasons why this is such an engaging show is because the audience is part of the Kit Kat Klub. Performers regularly interact with the crowd, creating a greater sense of unpredictability and immersion. The music is excellent, with my favorites being the showstopper “Maybe This Time” and the infectious title track. As the song so emphatically states, and I wholeheartedly agree: “Life is a cabaret, old chum. So come to the cabaret!”
