Streaming Horror: October

October is here, and you might be looking for horror content to stream — I’ve got you covered! To get in the mood for Halloween, there’s a ton of terrifying treasure to unearth. So, let’s dive in!

As you can see from the image above, Shudder, the king of all horror streaming services, has plenty of devilish delights for you to enjoy. The one I’m interested in checking out the most — aside from Joe Bob’s Halloween special — is Scare Me, and it’s available today! So, I’m probably going to give that one a go this weekend. Make sure to read my post all about the great content coming to Shudder this month.

Hulu has some great horror options this month too. Being that I’m a massive Clive Barker fan, I’m very interested in watching Books of Blood — a new movie adaptation of Barker’s seminal work. It premieres on October 7.

Netflix isn’t known for having great horror options. However, Unsolved Mysteries: Volume 2 — which is bound to feature cases involving horrific crimes — is definitely worth watching on October 19. If you haven’t watched Volume 1 of this newly reimagined take of the classic TV show starring Robert Stack, do so. It’s highly compelling.

So, there you have it! This year hasn’t brought us much to be happy about, but October has plenty of options that will surely bring a smile to horror fans’ faces. Happy Halloween!
