Today’s Bloganuary post is based on the prompt: “What is the greatest gift someone could give you?” Let’s discuss this intriguing question.
In this world, there are a multitude of tangible and intangible gifts. The best, by far, is love. The feeling is indescribable when someone gives us their love. Many have attempted to capture the feeling through music, paintings, plays, novels, and other artistic mediums. Love is a unique gift because it’s subjective and universal.
A lack of love can harm a person’s existence, threatening their health and well-being. We’ve all heard stories about a spouse dying of a broken heart because their significant other recently passed away. Some may dismiss this as nonsense, but there’s something to it. Being overwhelmed by negative feelings can severely harm us. For this reason, it is remarkable when another living being gives us their love.
Whether you derive love from your partner, pets, children, or friends, consider yourself lucky. Love may be free, but receiving it can be a challenge. I’ve always believed that love creates love. In other words, go out of your way to be kind to others. Let them know you care about them: compliment strangers and acquaintances. Hold open a door for someone. Small acts of kindness go a long way in making someone’s day. If you can bring a smile to another person’s face, they will do the same for you.
