IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise, announces today the return of the Elusive Target mission, The Drop, featuring the likeness and voiceover work of Superstar DJ Dimitri Vegas.

In The Drop, players will be tasked with eliminating an international DJ-turned-drug lord, modelled on the appearance of world-renowned DJ Dimitri Vegas. The mission will be available to play for newcomers as part of the Free Starter pack, whereas HITMAN World of Assassination players will be able to access the mission also for free during the event.  

The Drop DLC pack will also launch on the 12th of September, which will give players access to a permanent access to the Drop mission, as well as a new outfit, items, and a set of cosmetics for the freelancer house.  

A roadmap covering the duration of The Drop mission will be released when The Drop returns. This roadmap will include new challenges and the return of previous Elusive Targets. Additionally, a new Twitch Drop will be available after The Drop’s return begins. 

HITMAN World of Assassination is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
