With such a rich history of musical success, it’s hard to narrow down the band’s top 10 best songs, but I’ll do my best. Below are Journey’s ten best songs. Do you agree? Let me know.

Jonathan Cain On New Music, Journey, Steve Perry & The Lord

Jonathan Cain is a brilliant musician and a kind person. He is one of the most prolific, influential, and skilled performers ever, and he’s back with new music, both as a solo artist and as a member of Journey. Today, Jon’s new single, “Oh Lord Lead Us,” is available to buy and stream. And, on June 24, Journey released the new single, “The Way We Used To Be,” from its forthcoming new studio album. Jon was kind enough to speak with me at length about his new music, Journey’s new album, hitting the road again, how the Lord inspires him, his wife, Paula White-Cain, Steve Perry, and so much more. I hope you enjoy our discussion, and make sure to buy and stream Jon’s new single because it’s excellent!

Journey Celebrates the 35th Anniversary of Escape in NJ

IMG_7566With the 35th anniversary of the Journey album Escape, which spawned numerous chart-topping hits, right around the corner, the band is back on the road. This time they are joined by The Doobie Brothers and Dave Mason. And Steve Smith is behind the drum kit, stepping in for the band’s former drummer Deen Castronovo. For those keeping count, this is the classic Journey lineup, minus one member: Steve Perry. I’m happy to say this was one of the best Journey concerts I’ve attended (this was my fifth), and my my pre-show meet and greet with Neal Schon exceeded my expectations. Read on for all of the details.

A Journey Like No Other

303Last Friday I attended my fourth Journey concert. This time I saw them in Atlantic City, New Jersey – and as always, they put on a phenomenal show. Journey Rocks New Jersey

Arnel Pineda

This past Wednesday, June 11, my cousin and I went to go see one of our favorite bands: Journey. The concert took place at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, and the jam-packed crowd loved every minute of it. After the Tower of Power and the Steve Miller Band warmed up the audience, Journey stormed the stage and kicked off its 16-song set with “Be Good To Yourself,” a fun, upbeat song from their 1986 album Raised on Radio.

Journey: When You Love A Woman

I discovered Journey several summers ago while down the shore. It was fitting because the band’s music is perfect for this season; it’s uplifting and infectious. My all-time favorite Journey song is the hit, “When You Love A Woman.” It was the lead single from Trial By Fire, the one and only time the classic lineup, featuring Steve Perry and Steve Smith, reunited for an album. As you’ll see from the music video below, this song is perfect. While the entire band shines on this track, Jonathan Cain’s beautifully powerful piano melody and Steve Perry’s majestic vocal steal the show.
