For more than 30 years, David Vance has worked with some of the biggest names and brands in the world: Revlon, Rolex, Sony, Coca-Cola, just to name a few. You’ve seen his photography in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and Men’s Health, as well as other top-tier publications; and he’s photographed countless celebrities, some of which include Bea Arthur, Johnny Mathis and Dionne Warwick.
David was kind enough to provide me with a copy of Portraits of Dionne, a fabulous book compiling his photography of Dionne Warwick between the years 1982 and 2012. The photographs contained within this book are fantastic. They’re beautifully shot, diverse and full of emotion. What makes it such a fascinating and enjoyable experience is that it’s a visual history of an iconic artist over a 30-year period. Whether you’re a fan of Dionne Warwick, pop culture or exquisite photography, I highly recommend Portraits of Dionne.
