WWE: Kicking Down Doors

WWE: Kicking Down Doors, a new book from DK, highlights the female superstars who are at the forefront of WWE’s Women’s Evolution. Relive the very first all-women pay-per-view event, discover how legends such as Wendi Richter, Chyna, and Lita proved their dominance in the ring and chart their progression from glamorous sidekicks to fierce and fabulous Divas to the powerful superstars of today. Celebrate the likes of “The Man” Becky Lynch, “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Nia Jax, and Ronda Rousey as they set a new gold standard in WWE.

As with all of DK’s WWE books, this one is a winner. The wealth of content, visual display, and variety of topics covered makes it a fascinating read that pays tribute to top female wrestlers of the past, present, and future. The first 24 pages of this 128-page book are devoted to “The First Fabulous Females,” including Wendi Richter, Miss Elizabeth, Sensational Sherri, and others. Pages 26 through 60 provide a glimpse of “Women With Attitude,” focusing on female superstars from the late 1990s, the 2000s, and the 2010s. And page 62 to page 128 is all about “Evolving,” highlighting top female talent and milestones that have taken place over the past 10 years. If you’re a fan of WWE, or women’s wrestling in general, then WWE: Kicking Down Doors has a lot to offer. While some may argue that TNA Wrestling (now IMPACT Wrestling) kicked off the women’s evolution in wrestling back in 2007 at Bound For Glory when Gail Kim became the first Knockouts Champion, it’s great to see that WWE finally caught up. This book celebrates those who paved the way and those who are standing on the shoulders of giants.
