Tomorrow night is the big night: IMPACT Wrestling returns to Thursdays! This is the night of the week where TNA iMPACT achieved iconic status in the world of pro wrestling, at one point reaching two million fans a week. Today, I spoke with IMPACT Wrestling veteran and member of Violent By Design, Rhino. He shared with me his thoughts on IMPACT’s big move back to Thursday night.
“I think it’s a good decision. Thursday nights are always good for us,” Rhino said. “We’re in a rebuilding stage, and it seems to only keep getting better. The same applies to sports teams. There comes a time when you have to rebuild. The last several years IMPACT has been rebuilding and moving forward.”
Rhino went on to tell me that “I think Thursday night is a great night for wrestling. People are gearing up for the weekend. Your work week is almost done, and what a great way to head into the weekend — with some IMPACT Wrestling!”
Just like Rhino, I’m pumped for IMPACT Wrestling’s triumphant return to Thursday nights. I think it’s going to be a shot in the arm for the company, while scratching that nostalgic itch for lapsed TNA Wrestling fans. And, even better, this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET is the next IMPACT Plus exclusive: Hardcore Justice!
This Thursday’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling is a stacked card, with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers versus IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Rich Swann, Eddie Edwards, and Willie Mack in the main event. Cody Deaner battling Chris Sabin should also be a barn-burner, so I can’t wait to see that. You can bet that the rest of the matches will be top-notch too, so make sure to tune into IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV when it returns to Thursday nights on April 8 at 8 p.m. ET!
