Continue readingOnly July 18, Kiera Hogan, one half of Fire ‘N Flava, announced on her OnlyFans account that she’s leaving IMPACT Wrestling. Read on for more details.
Continue readingThis past Saturday, July 17, IMPACT Wrestling welcomed back fans for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it did so with one of the biggest shows of the year: Slammiversary on FITE. This year’s event marks the 19th anniversary of IMPACT Wrestling, formerly TNA Wrestling. As many of you know, I’m writing a book about the first 20 years of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. But now that the dust has settled, let’s take a look at this year’s Slammiversary!
Continue readingLast night, I joined the guys at The Talking Nonsense About IMPACT Wrestling Podcast to spill the T-N-A on the latest developments regarding the book I’m writing about the first 20 years of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. As always, it was great chatting with the guys, answering questions, playing a fun game, and filling people in on the latest details regarding my book. I look forward to returning next month to talk about Slammiversary results and much more. Until then, check out the full episode from last night below.
Continue readingOn June 3, IMPACT Wrestling issued the press release below announcing that it is welcoming back fans at Slammiversary on July 17 in Nashville at Skyway Studios, which has been the home of IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings and live broadcasts since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets, which were priced at $250 a piece (nearly $300, when you factor in taxes and fees), sold out in approximately one hour. Read on for my thoughts on this exciting news.
Continue readingOn May 18, IMPACT Wrestling ring announcer David Penzer sent out a tweet saying that he had witnessed one of the greatest matches, if not the best, in his 44 years of watching wrestling. My interest was immediately piqued by this revelation. We would soon learn that the bout referenced was the first-ever 60-minute Iron Man Match in the history of IMPACT Wrestling, pitting X Division Champion Josh Alexander against TJP. Read on for my thoughts on this match, as well as videos of the IMPACT Press Pass prior to the match, featuring Josh Alexander, TJP, and Gail Kim, and the full uncut version of the match itself.
Continue readingIt’s IMPACT Wrestling night! You can tune in at 8 p.m. ET on AXS TV, Fight Network (Canada), and Twitch. It’s a massive evening of hard-hitting action, including the debut of New Japan’s El Phantasmo. Of course, without the people behind the scenes putting in all their hard work, we wouldn’t have the IMPACT shows, PPVs, and specials that we love. With this in mind, I interviewed IMPACT Wrestling Floor Director Ingrid Isley for my books about the history of IMPACT Wrestling, and, among other topics, she shared her thoughts about why she loves working for the company.
Continue readingLast night I joined the guys at the Talking Nonsense About IMPACT Wrestling Podcast to provide an update on my books about the history of IMPACT Wrestling. In addition to talking about my project and answering questions from the guys and listeners, we chatted about the hottest news in the world of IMPACT Wrestling. Make sure to watch the full episode below!
Continue readingAs you may recall, I took part in the Hard To Kill CELL-ebration hosted by IMPACT Wrestling. It was an excellent event where fans got to spend quality time with the stars of IMPACT Wrestling, ahead of the Hard To Kill PPV. If you missed out on that interactive fan event, another opportunity is here! On Sunday, April 25, at 11 a.m. ET, IMPACT Wrestling is hosting its next CELL-ebration. This one is taking place several hours before the Rebellion PPV, which features a historic main event where AEW World Champion Kenny Omega faces off against IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann in a title vs. title match. If you want to be part of this VIP experience, make sure to register now to secure your spot.
Continue readingIf you thought I was done with heavy hitters for my books about the history of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, think again! I spoke with Ken Anderson, a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, at length about his time with the company. We covered his feuds with Sting and Kurt Angle, including Angle’s crazy moonsault off the top of the cage at Lockdown 2010, as well as his time in Immortal, working with legends like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. I got Ken’s thoughts on AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter, and more. We also talked about Aces & Eights and why he was let go from TNA, among many other topics. It was an absolute pleasure interviewing Ken. He’s always been one of my favorite wrestlers, and he’s criminally underrated. I look forward to his future in the business, and I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity to speak with him for my book project.
