IMPACT Wrestling Report: AEW Champion Kenny Omega Coming to IMPACT

As always, this past week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling was excellent. However, the biggest IMPACT-related piece of news took place the following night on AEW Dynamite when IMPACT EVP Don Callis whisked away the newly crowned AEW Champion Kenny Omega and gleefully exclaimed that he’s appearing this Tuesday on IMPACT Wrestling. Oh, and The Icon Sting, who had a legendary run in IMPACT Wrestling that spanned nearly 10 years, made his debut on AEW. Read on for more details.

Kenny Omega is Coming to IMPACT!

Yes, you read that right. The new AEW Champion Kenny Omega is coming to IMPACT Wrestling on Tuesday night with his longtime friend and IMPACT EVP Don Callis. There are a lot of unknowns as it pertains to this from a storyline and behind-the-scenes perspective, but fans are going nuts over it. The prospect of IMPACT Wrestling and AEW working together, even on a small scale, makes both shows and promotions far more intriguing because it provides fans with a level of unpredictability in pro wrestling that we haven’t experienced since the Monday Night War in the 1990s. That’s saying something!

“It’s Stiiiiing!!!”

While AEW Dynamite may have ended with a big shock for the wrestling world, especially IMPACT fans, the surprise of the night goes to Sting debuting in AEW and signing a multi-year full-time deal with the company. Read my post here with all of the details. This isn’t directly related to IMPACT Wrestling, but it’s a reminder that Sting performs best when he’s working for the underdog. His time in WCW and TNA is when he was at his best, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for him in AEW. This TNA/IMPACT Wrestling legend deserves to end his career the way he wants to, and I look forward to, presumably, the final chapter.

IMPACT Recap

Even though Kenny Omega coming to IMPACT and Sting returning to AEW were the two biggest stories last week in the world of pro wrestling, there was plenty to enjoy on IMPACT Wrestling. The legendary Jazz made her debut on IMPACT by teaming up with Jordynne Grace and successfully advancing to the next round in the Knockouts Tag Title Tournament. Rohit Raju continued to hold his place atop the X Division. Joe Doering and Eric Young, once again, ran roughshod over unsuspecting wrestlers, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with. And so much more!

IMPACT Wrestling This Tuesday!

Tuesday night’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling is must-watch TV! Not only will it feature AEW Champion Kenny Omega, but there are some hot matches set to take place. The bottom line is this: right now is the most exciting time to be a fan of pro wrestling over the past 20 years. So, sit back, tune in, and enjoy the ride!

Final Resolution: December 12 on IMPACT Plus

In addition to IMPACT Wrestling this Tuesday night, the next IMPACT Plus exclusive event is taking place this Saturday, December 12: Final Resolution. The last IMPACT Plus exclusive event, Turning Point, was excellent, so I’m sure IMPACT Wrestling is going to close out the year strong with Final Resolution. If you don’t already subscribe to IMPACT Plus, do so. This way you won’t miss out on any of the action.
