I’ve been doing Atkins for less than two months, and I’ve already lost more than six pounds and went from a 36-inch waist to 34 inches. For decades, the American Medical Association espoused that a low-fat diet was the way to lose weight, and that people should eat plenty of carbohydrates. Clearly, they couldn’t have been more misguided as half of all Americans are obese and nearly 35 million have diabetes.
