Catching Up With Drummer Deen Castronovo

Just a few days after I interviewed him, it was announced that my friend Deen Castronovo is the new drummer for the fantastic rock band The Dead Daises. Deen and the guys are currently in Nashville working on a new studio album, and I couldn’t be happier for Deen or The Dead Daises. I’m sure what they produce will be phenomenal and I can’t wait to hear it.

A Conversation With Chip Z’Nuff

The classic rock band Enuff Z’Nuff just released Clowns Lounge, a collection of rarities and early demos that have been partially reworked and re-recorded by the band. This exceptional collection also features a guest appearance from the late Jani Lane, of Warrant, as well as an appearance from James Young of Styx on “The Devil Of Shakespeare.” Prior to the release of this excellent album, I had the opportunity to interview the band’s founder and bassist, Chip Z’Nuff. Check out our discussion below, pick up a copy of Clowns Lounge and look out for Enuff Z’Nuff in early 2017 when they’re touring with KISS’ original guitarist, Ace Frehley.

KISS Kruise VI: Creatures Of The Deep

212_kiss_img_0217I recently returned from KISS Kruise VI, my third and final time on the high seas with the “Hottest Band in the World”: KISS. Each KISS Kruise I’ve been on has been special. KISS Kruise III was my first time partaking in such a wild adventure, I got to see and discover bands I knew little about (i.e.,  Night Ranger and Vintage Trouble) and I made a slew of new friends. On KISS Kruise IV I was dressed to the nines with my favorite band as we took part in the the greatest photo I’ll ever get with KISS because we were all “Dressed to Kill.” And this year’s KISS Kruise was special for a variety of reasons.
