Last night, I took part in another episode of the KISSFAQ podcast. This episode focused on KISS Kruise IX. Julian, Alex, and I interviewed David Rudat about his experience on the ship. As a first-timer, he had plenty to share about the pre-kruise festivities, as well as everything that happened on board the ship. It was a pleasure taking part in this podcast. I hope you enjoy it.
The end is near. On KISS Kruise IX, while amongst the KISS Navy, KISS revealed the band’s final performance on its “End Of The Road” tour. It’s taking place on July 17, 2021 in New York City, where the band was formed, at a yet-to-be-announced location. The band already performed at Madison Square Garden, so that’s out of the question. Will it be at Citi Field in Queens? How about Central Park? No one knows, but I’m sure we’ll find out in the months to come.
The classic rock band Enuff Z’Nuff just released Clowns Lounge, a collection of rarities and early demos that have been partially reworked and re-recorded by the band. This exceptional collection also features a guest appearance from the late Jani Lane, of Warrant, as well as an appearance from James Young of Styx on “The Devil Of Shakespeare.” Prior to the release of this excellent album, I had the opportunity to interview the band’s founder and bassist, Chip Z’Nuff. Check out our discussion below, pick up a copy of Clowns Lounge and look out for Enuff Z’Nuff in early 2017 when they’re touring with KISS’ original guitarist, Ace Frehley.
I recently returned from KISS Kruise VI, my third and final time on the high seas with the “Hottest Band in the World”: KISS. Each KISS Kruise I’ve been on has been special. KISS Kruise III was my first time partaking in such a wild adventure, I got to see and discover bands I knew little about (i.e., Night Ranger and Vintage Trouble) and I made a slew of new friends. On KISS Kruise IV I was dressed to the nines with my favorite band as we took part in the the greatest photo I’ll ever get with KISS because we were all “Dressed to Kill.” And this year’s KISS Kruise was special for a variety of reasons. Let me tell you all about it.
Yesterday I returned from KISS Kruise VI, my third and final sea-bound voyage with the “Hottest Band in the World,” and a few days prior to this trip I interviewed the band’s lead guitarist: Tommy Thayer. As you can see below, I asked Tommy several questions that many fans want answers to and he was more than happy to oblige. Stay tuned for my full recap of KISS Kruise VI, which I’ll post when I get my photo with the band, which should be at some point later this month. Until then, I hope you enjoy my interview with Tommy!
At the 2016 NJ KISS Expo the KISS Army descended upon the Hotel Somerset-Bridgewater to celebrate their favorite band: KISS. For those that haven’t been to one of these events before, there are various vendors, with tables overflowing with merchandise, special guests taking photos with fans and autographing items and other fun happenings for everyone to enjoy. On the heels of my review of Four By Fate’s debut album, Relentless, I had the opportunity to interview the band’s bassist, John Regan. In addition to being one of the co-founders of Four By Fate, John has a rich history of working with some of the biggest names in rock and roll history, including David Bowie, Ace Frehley, Mick Jagger, David Lee Roth, John Waite, Peter Frampton, and Billy Idol, among others. During our hour-long conversation, we covered everything from the formation of Four By Fate to John’s time in the studio and on the road with Ace Frehley. We also talked about how John feels that Ace Frehley will inevitably rejoin KISS, and much more. I hope you enjoy the interview with John Regan, and don’t forget to pick up a copy of Four By Fate’s new album on June 3.
Today I bought tickets to see KISS on their “Freedom to Rock” tour in Allentown on September 1. I got great seats for the show – 13th row, in front of Gene – and for a reasonable price. This concert is taking place two months before I hop aboard KISS Kruise VI, so you could say I’m going to have a KISS-filled fall. Speaking of the KISS Kruise, below is a video I recently uploaded of Paul Stanley’s hour-long Q&A from KISS Kruise IV. Enjoy!
Below is my video review of KISS Kruise IV, as well as photos and videos from this unforgettable event. Enjoy!
