My Last KISS

On August 21, I attended what may have been my final KISS concert ever. At this point, I’ve seen the band live more than 20 times, including five dates on its End Of The Road World Tour. If this was my last show, I went out on top because I watched the entire performance from the pit, which is in between the stage and the front row. Being in the pit was not planned ahead of time, but it was a fantastic surprise. Read on for my thoughts on my last KISS.

A&E Airing KISS Documentary

For many years there’s been talk about the definitive KISS documentary coming to fruition but nothing has manifested. Today, that dream turned into a reality when KISS announced that its official two-part, four-hour documentary, KISStory, is coming to A&E this June. Below are all of the details.

Joey Cassata on Wrestling, Music, & Acting

Joey Cassata is a multi-talented artist. He’s a gifted musician, actor, and writer. He wrote Wrestling With Joeylicious, which is the novelization of an upcoming TV series that all wrestling fans will love! I had the chance to interview Joey about this project, as well as his time touring with KISS, being part of a major Broadway production with Josh Groban, and more. Enjoy!

During these difficult times of social distancing, I’ve used technology to play online games with friends and even record video podcasts with them. Speaking of which, I was honored to take part in the 300th episode of the KISSFAQ Podcast. Talk about a major milestone! On this episode, we discussed our three greatest KISS-related memories and our biggest KISS-related regrets. Check out the episode below, and enjoy!

Allentown’s Farewell KISS

On February 4 I attended my fourth KISS concert during the band’s End of the Road tour. It was the second date of this leg of the tour, and one of only two times that KISS is coming anywhere near Philadelphia this year. I already got a ticket for the other show, which takes place in Atlantic City in August. While seeing them in Philadelphia last March was spectacular, this concert may have surpassed it. The band was on fire in Allentown, and David Lee Roth’s killer opening set made the night even more fun.

KISS Announces Tour Dates & Final Performance

The end is near. On KISS Kruise IX, while amongst the KISS Navy, KISS revealed the band’s final performance on its “End Of The Road” tour. It’s taking place on July 17, 2021 in New York City, where the band was formed, at a yet-to-be-announced location. The band already performed at Madison Square Garden, so that’s out of the question. Will it be at Citi Field in Queens? How about Central Park? No one knows, but I’m sure we’ll find out in the months to come.

Hershey’s Last KISS

Last night I attended my third concert, so far, on KISS’ End Of The Road Tour, and it was great! I previously saw the band back in the spring in Philadelphia and then Atlanta. Both of those shows were inside large arenas, while this one was outside, making for a totally different atmosphere. With 20,000 fans in attendance and sweltering heat, it was a high-energy performance that had people on their feet the entire time. And with it taking place in an amusement park, I know it conjured up images for fans of the cult classic KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park.

Philly’s Final KISS

KISS performed its final concert ever in Philadelphia on March 29, 2019. I was there, along with my wife, and it was a blast! Even though I’ve seen KISS live many times, including on three KISS Kruises, I’ve never seen them in the Wells Fargo Center. It was awesome seeing them in a large arena, filled with face-painted fans of all ages. Even better, the band left all access passes for us, something I’ve never had, which meant we could walk almost anywhere we wanted in the building, including backstage, without restriction.

July 23, 2003: My First KISS

On July 23, 2003 I met my favorite rock band, KISS, for the first time. As you can see from the smile on may face in the above photo, I was radiating excitement because I was so happy. Not only was this a free meet and greet with the “Hottest Band in the World,” my cousin, Chris, and I had the opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of the band’s new album, which had just come out, KISS Symphony: Alive IV.
