I never had a chance to see Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist of KISS, perform with the band. By the time I started attending KISS shows, Tommy Thayer was the new “Space Man.” So, when Ace announced the tour for his new solo album – Space Invader – I was ready to finally see him live.

Vintage Trouble Live In Philly
A couple weeks ago I saw Vintage Trouble, my favorite young rock band, live in Philly. As always, they were terrific. Below are some photos and videos from the show. And as a reminder, I recently interviewed the band and will be sharing that with you within the next month or so. In the meantime, enjoy the photos and video below, and go see Vintage Trouble when they come to your area.
Vintage Trouble: The Swing House Sessions Tour
Vintage Trouble, arguably the greatest modern rock band, is currently on the road for The Swing House Sessions Tour in support of their new EP. I had the pleasure of interviewing the guys last week about their wonderful music, style and success, so stay tuned for that in the weeks to come. And I’m attending their concert this Wednesday night in Philadelphia at Underground Arts.
A Conversation With The Babys’ John Bisaha
One of my all-time favorite classic rock bands is The Babys. Well, I’ve got good news! The Babys are back with a new lineup and a new album – I’ll Have Some Of That! – which features some killer material that all classic rock fans must check out.
The lead singer of The Babys, John Bisaha, was kind enough to speak with me about his interesting musical journey, including his influences, what it was like auditioning to be The Babys’ new lead vocalist and how he used to hang out with Karen Carpenter as a kid. It’s a great interview and I think you’re going to really enjoy it.
Couple Days Off
For those of you that don’t know, I’m entering my final year of grad school and the semester has begun. This fall I’m taking my last two classes and in the spring I’m working on my Master’s Project. To maintain my sanity, I’ll be posting less frequently to my blog, maybe once a week or once every other week. But there’s no need to worry because I’ve got great stuff planned for you this fall, including more interviews with best-selling authors and accomplished musicians, as well as my thoughts on a variety of books, albums and concerts. I plan on ending the year on a high note, so thanks for sticking along for the ride. In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy a couple days off.
WWE 30 Years Of WrestleMania
I received an advance copy of 30 Years of WrestleMania from DK Publishing, the same terrific company that created WWE 50 and the WWE Encyclopedia. Below is my video review of 30 Years of WrestleMania, which you can buy here.
