Recipe: Keto Chili Cheese Dog Casserole

Here’s another low-carb recipe for you, courtesy of Wendy Polisi of Kicking Carbs: Keto Chili Cheese Dog Casserole! My wife and I had this recently for dinner, and it was good. However, two things are worth noting — first, the recipe says to preheat the oven from the get-go; this is incorrect as you have many preparatory steps to take before the oven is even needed. Second, I added leftover Banza macaroni and cheese shells to my leftovers of this casserole and it made it eminently better than the recipe below. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you’re looking to make this more flavorful, interesting, and satisfying. Read on for the recipe, nutritional information, and more. Enjoy!

What If It’s All Been A Big Fat Lie?

Photo by Dana Tentis on Pexels.com

I’ve been doing Atkins for less than two months, and I’ve already lost more than six pounds and went from a 36-inch waist to 34 inches. For decades, the American Medical Association espoused that a low-fat diet was the way to lose weight, and that people should eat plenty of carbohydrates. Clearly, they couldn’t have been more misguided as half of all Americans are obese and nearly 35 million have diabetes. On July 7, 2002, Gary Taubes published an article in The New York Times demonstrating how Dr. Robert C. Atkins was right, and the United States medical establishment was wrong. It’s a fascinating piece, and I hope you enjoy the full article below.

This year, 2022, is the 50th anniversary of the Atkins Nutritional Approach. First introduced to the world in the wildly popular 1972 book Dr. Atkins’ Diet Revolution, this healthy lifestyle is still going strong years after its founder, Dr. Robert C. Atkins, passed away. Considering Dr. Atkins wrote nearly 20 books, and there are even more official Atkins books to read, where should you start if you’re new to Atkins and want a solid primer on the topic? Breakfast On Atkins

I recently started the Atkins diet, which, like any diet, should be adopted as a nutritional approach because it’s a lifestyle change — not something you do for a few months to look good for summer. Rather, it’s an investment in your long-term health that requires a paradigm shift of how you view and understand food and its affects on your body. So, what did I eat this morning on Atkins? Read on to find out all the details.
