Review: NWA EmPowerrr

On August 28, the NWA held its first-ever all-women pay-per-view, EmPowerrr, emanating from the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis — a legendary home to a multitude of professional wrestling events over the years. In addition to EmPowerrr on August 28, the next day, on August 29, NWA 73 is taking place at The Chase, commemorating the 73rd anniversary of the formation of the National Wrestling Alliance, which took place in 1948. In the opening match on the premiere episode of AEW Rampage, Christian Cage won the IMPACT Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship from Kenny Omega. On the heels of this high-energy bout and feel-good moment, Christian Cage is returning to The IMPACT Zone as the promotion’s new champion.
