Earlier this year I saw Mick Foley’s one-man show at Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia and it exceeded my expectations. After the show my friend Brian and I stuck around to meet Mick, get his autograph and get a photo with him. I also asked Mick if he was open to doing an interview with me, primarily focused on his work as an author, and he obliged. Several months later the interview came to fruition, and once again, Mick exceeded my expectations.

A Christmas Tradition Comes To An End
For as long as I can remember I’ve had my photo taken with Santa. Not for myself, but for my Father. It makes him happy and reminds him of when I was a child and believed in the magic of Christmas. Now that I’m approaching my 30th birthday (next March), I figured I’d get my photo taken with Santa one last time.

My Christmas Tradition
Christmas is my Dad’s favorite time of the year, and it’s mine too. Like many parents, he loves to reminisce about the days when I was a little, chubby child sitting on Santa’s lap. Clearly, I’ve changed quite a bit since then; I’m taller, thinner and, of course, older. However, to keep the spirit alive, I still get my photo taken with Santa every year and give it to my Dad. It still brings a smile to his face and a tear to his eye. I may be older, but in his eyes, I’m still his “baby.”
