The best reason to do Atkins is to prevent diabetes or reverse its effects. Dr. Robert C. Atkins explored this in numerous books but never devoted an entire one to this topic. He wanted to, but his unexpected passing made that an impossibility. His widow Veronica wanted to see his vision come to life, so she encouraged the two authors of this book to write it. They worked with Dr. Atkins at his clinical practice in New York, so they understood the importance of publishing Atkins Diabetes Revolution. Read on for my thoughts on this audiobook.

Clean Nutraceuticals Q-Defend Immune Boost
One thing I’ve learned while doing Atkins is the importance of supplements — or, as Dr. Atkins called them, vita-nutrients. One of the supplements I take every morning is Clean Nutraceuticals Q-Defend Immune Boost. In this day and age, where our immune system is more important ever, I’m more than happy to tip the scales in my favor with this vita-nutrient blend. I haven’t been sick since 2019, so I must be doing something right. Read on for more information about Clean Nutraceuticals Q-Defend Immune Boost.

My wife and I made a recipe recently, courtesy of Wendy Polisi of Kicking Carbs, which was tasty and easy: Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken. We made it on a George Forman Grill and had French-cut green beans and tater tots as sides. All told, the meal was 31 net carbs, and I had half a piece of chicken left over which I had the next day for lunch with a side of spinach. Read on for the recipe, nutritional information, and more. If you’re also making this using a George Forman Grill, make sure to look up the appropriate amount of time to cook your chicken. Enjoy!

If you’ve been following my recent posts, then you know I’ve been doing Atkins and seeing terrific results because of this lifestyle change. I find it fitting that I decided to get into Atkins in 2022, the 50th anniversary of Dr. Robert C. Atkins’ seminal book that brought the low-carb approach to millions of people the world over. Below is my review of the updated version of Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution, released in 2002. The audiobook, which is what I’m reviewing here, came out in 2004.

Here’s another low-carb recipe for you, courtesy of Wendy Polisi of Kicking Carbs: Keto Chili Cheese Dog Casserole! My wife and I had this recently for dinner, and it was good. However, two things are worth noting — first, the recipe says to preheat the oven from the get-go; this is incorrect as you have many preparatory steps to take before the oven is even needed. Second, I added leftover Banza macaroni and cheese shells to my leftovers of this casserole and it made it eminently better than the recipe below. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you’re looking to make this more flavorful, interesting, and satisfying. Read on for the recipe, nutritional information, and more. Enjoy!

My wife and I had this tonight for dinner, and I topped it off with some Atkins Nacho Cheese Protein Chips, which gave it a nice crunch. Read on for the recipe, nutritional information, and more. Enjoy!
Continue readingWhat If It’s All Been A Big Fat Lie?
I’ve been doing Atkins for less than two months, and I’ve already lost more than six pounds and went from a 36-inch waist to 34 inches. For decades, the American Medical Association espoused that a low-fat diet was the way to lose weight, and that people should eat plenty of carbohydrates. Clearly, they couldn’t have been more misguided as half of all Americans are obese and nearly 35 million have diabetes. On July 7, 2002, Gary Taubes published an article in The New York Times demonstrating how Dr. Robert C. Atkins was right, and the United States medical establishment was wrong. It’s a fascinating piece, and I hope you enjoy the full article below.
