IMPACT Wrestling Welcomes Back Fans At Slammiversary

On June 3, IMPACT Wrestling issued the press release below announcing that it is welcoming back fans at Slammiversary on July 17 in Nashville at Skyway Studios, which has been the home of IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings and live broadcasts since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets, which were priced at $250 a piece (nearly $300, when you factor in taxes and fees), sold out in approximately one hour. Read on for my thoughts on this exciting news.

Josh Alexander vs TJP: 60-Minute Iron Man Match

On May 18, IMPACT Wrestling ring announcer David Penzer sent out a tweet saying that he had witnessed one of the greatest matches, if not the best, in his 44 years of watching wrestling. My interest was immediately piqued by this revelation. We would soon learn that the bout referenced was the first-ever 60-minute Iron Man Match in the history of IMPACT Wrestling, pitting X Division Champion Josh Alexander against TJP. The eight-part A&E Biography series on WWE Legends has been excellent. This coming Sunday is the final documentary in this series: Bret Hart. And, it all started on Sunday, April 18 with one of Bret Hart’s greatest rivals: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Considering there have been so many “Stone Cold” Steve Austin documentaries over the years, is this one worth watching? Read on for my thoughts.

Review: Ultimate Warrior WWE A&E Biography

Growing up, the Ultimate Warrior was my favorite pro wrestler. He was colorful, intense, and relentless — a comic book character come to life, with face paint and tassels to boot. Thankfully, I decided to attend WrestleMania XXX in 2014, which wound up being the Ultimate Warrior’s final run with WWE. It was an incredible weekend of events, capped off by his prophetic words on Monday Night RAW. This past Sunday, the latest WWE A&E Biography was all about the life and career of this icon of the squared circle. Did it delve deep or was it simply a puff piece? Read on for my thoughts.

Rob Van Dam: WWE ICONS Documentary ECW Arena Event

Last night I attended my first major indoor event since being fully vaccinated. The event took place at the 2300 Arena (ECW Arena), and it featured Rob Van Dam watching the debut of his new WWE ICONS documentary for the first time, a little bit of stand-up, and photos and autographs with RVD afterward. It was an awesome time. Let me tell you all about it.
