You can listen to this episode on iTunes, or watch a video of it below on YouTube. KISS Exercises Its Freedom To Rock

img_8110Last week I saw the greatest live spectacle on Earth: KISS. This was my 11th time seeing the band perform live, if you include the concerts I’ve attended and performances I’ve seen on the KISS Kruise and during backstage meet and greets. Speaking of meet and greets, thanks to the generosity and kindness of one of the band members, my cousin and I were part of KISS’ meet and greet in Allentown. Being able to share this amazing moment with my best friend and someone who loves KISS as much as I do, made for a special night neither of us will forget. Continue reading

Book Review: Encyclopedia of KISS

Ace Frehley Invades PA

IMG_5271I missed Ace Frehley’s concert last week in New Hope because of Philadelphia being under lockdown as a result of the Pope’s visit. But yesterday I made sure I was in Oaks, PA to meet and get my photo taken with Ace at the All Things That Rock Festival. Not only did my photo turn out great, I got to interview “Space Ace” and Ken Kelly, an artist famous for creating iconic album artwork, including KISS’ Destroyer and Love Gun, as well as Ace’s latest solo album: Space InvaderContinue reading

A Conversation With Eric Singer

Eric SingerFor me, 2014 was the year of KISS. I was lucky enough to meet all of the current and original members of the band, and I was in Brooklyn when Paul, Gene, Peter, and Ace were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I also interviewed Paul Stanley and received one of his autographed signature guitars as part of a meet and greet. And I closed out the year with two Ace Frehley concerts and meet and greets, not to mention my seabound voyage on KISS Kruise IV, where the band and I were “Dressed to Kill.”

My biggest KISS highlight of this year so far? Interviewing KISS’ current – and best – drummer: Eric Singer. As you can see from the interview below, we covered a lot of ground. Having the opportunity to speak with my favorite drummer for an extended period of time was an absolute joy, and I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.

Movie Review: Scooby-Doo! & KISS Rock & Roll Mystery

Scooby-Doo!_and_Kiss-_Rock_and_Roll_MysteryBy now you probably know that I’m a huge KISS fan. And being a KISS fan means hearing about all of the crazy merchandising ideas they get involved in and asking yourself, Is this something worth buying? The band’s latest commercial venture is a direct-to-video movie with Scooby-Doo and the gang, and I’m glad to say it’s actually quite good.
