In February, I quit my job. I decided last summer that the 9-5 corporate grind was not for me, and I devised an exit strategy to replace my salary by working half the time. This is the best career move I have ever made. Why? Read on.
In January, I took part in a WordPress challenge called Bloganuary. Every day for 31 days, I received a writing prompt to inspire me to write a post for that day, which I did. During those 31 days, I sang a song for you, wrote a poem, shared childhood memories, offered advice and aspirations, and much more. Today was my last day at my current job. During my time there, I had the good fortune of working with many talented people on a variety of exciting projects. Now, I’m going to enjoy the holidays, relax and get ready for my new job. 2012 was a great year for me, and I’m looking forward to 2013. With this in mind, here’s one of my favorite songs, the appropriately titled “Bring On Tomorrow.”
