The best reason to do Atkins is to prevent diabetes or reverse its effects. Dr. Robert C. Atkins explored this in numerous books but never devoted an entire one to this topic. He wanted to, but his unexpected passing made that an impossibility. His widow Veronica wanted to see his vision come to life, so she encouraged the two authors of this book to write it.
